Natel Acquires LTCC Equipment from National Semiconductor
NATEL Engineering Co., Inc. has acquired all the assets of the now closed National Semiconductors LTCC substrate operation in Irvine, CA.
This acquisition includes the complete tool set of high speed automatic punch, screen print and fire capabilities used during Nationals operations. Natel will incorporate this equipment into its operations at both Scrantom in Costa Mesa, as well as the Chatsworth operation. In a related move, Natel has recently acquired an additional facility next to its current operation in Chatsworth, and that space will be used to set up and operate some of this new equipment.
NATEL Engineering Co. offers nearly 30 years of microelectronics experience with advanced capabilities for a wide range of products and industries, including fully automated assembly of t/r modules, hybrids, MCM, and chip-on-board products. NATEL holds and maintains industry specific certifications such as AS9100 and MIL-PRF-38534 (DSCC) and operates in manufacturing facilities that include 30,000 square feet of advanced clean room area. NATEL has participated in the most dramatic changes that have taken place in the manufacturing of products for space, defense, medical, and the RF/Microwave industries.
