Chatsworth, CA — NATEL EMS held its second blood drive this Friday June 6, 2014, in its training room of its facility. The blood drive, organized by the American Red Cross, was held from 9am through 3pm, where goals for volunteers were succeeded and donation stations were utilized the entire time.
“Each donation can help save the lives of up to 3 people” said Matthew J. Gilling, Account Manager of American Red Cross. “The 33 units collected could help save the lives of up to 160 patients in local hospitals. Of the 150 hospitals in the area, we can’t collect enough blood in Southern California to meet their needs and any help is greatly appreciated”.
The event was open to all employees and their families. “I wanted to help out any way I can,” said Son Nguyen, IT Support Associate. “And it’s a great way to help out our community, hangout with colleagues and eat cookies.”
